Raksha Bandhan is the tying of Rakhi (sacred thread on the wrist) in silent meditation, symbolizing our eternal loving relationship with the Divine.
In a world seeking deeper connection and security, Raksha Bandhan invites us to reflect on the eternal bond between the soul and the Divine. More than a ritual, the sacred thread symbolizes the Divine’s unconditional love and protection – a reminder that we are never alone on our journey.
Raksha Bandhan is a tradition from India which commemorates a re-connection with the self and God. It is celebrated with the tying of a sacred thread around the wrist. It symbolizes the relationship between the soul and God. In tying the Rakhi you are invited to make a promise to let go of negative feelings, attitudes, and behaviors and accept from the Divine, loving guidance and protection.
